Project Overview:
Snow Peak’s first Campfield project in North America sits on the Long Beach Peninsula of Washington, offering a reimagined outdoor experience with thoughtfully designed spaces to slow down, connect and be with nature. Working alongside renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma to design beautiful lodging options in harmony with the natural surroundings, Snow Peak wanted to encapsulate traditional Japanese architecture, culture and the value of living in harmony with the outdoors.
We had the privilege of providing a variety of wood siding and paneling products to be used in numerous applications throughout Campfield’s different buildings. Gendai clads the exterior of the Gatehouse, Ofuro Spa, and the Campstore & Cafe buildings. You can find unoiled sugi siding lining the walls of the Wash House, and our clear grade hinoki makes a splash as the interior paneling used in the sauna, part of the traditional Japanese Ofuro Spa.
