Sugi | Gendai®
This project, nestled in the foothills of the mountainous region by the Gōnokawa River in Shimane, comes to us from our friends in Japan at Nakamoto Zourin headquarters. Featuring our charred Gendai® in Black and unburned Sugi cypress with a polyurethane finish, this simple, single-floor design maximizes outdoor space and natural light through large windows, sliding wall panels and a large, covered outdoor patio. The house was designed to keep its height low and stretch on the ground to let the surrounding pitched Sekisyu roof tile stand out.
