Pika-Pika®

Lake Champlain Modern

Grande Isle, VT

From Red House Inc.:

“Set on the shore of Lake Champlain, VT, amidst apple and cedar trees and overlooking the Adirondacks, is this high-efficiency modern house was designed by Montreal architect, Godefroy Meyer. The house was designed for an empty-nest couple from France to have a self-contained primary space joined by a central connector to a single-level guest area with an office and music room. The robust performance package includes triple-glaze windows and doors from Europe and a high-efficiency heating and cooling system. Stone veneer panels offer a striking contrast to the Shou Sugi-ban wood siding. The polygonal and vaulted great room space is defined by huge walls of glass, white oak floors and slat walls and an ash ceiling.”
