Sugi Flat Grain Unoiled

• Alternate for many cedar or cypress specifications.
• Rich, clean, and beautiful material, with great color range.
• Raw sugi has a distinctive, pleasing cedar aroma.
• Can be stained on site, or enjoyed uncoated. Oil stain application and maintenance will dramatically increase siding longevity.
• Please apply and dry oil stains or coatings in horizontal orientations and before installation. If an oil stain is applied after installation please back brush the siding or paneling for an even finish.
• Rough lumber for millwork, case work, furniture, etc

Unoiled

Sugi is often left unoiled in clean interior applications, or in exterior applications where a patina is desired. It can also be coated by the customer with standard tradecraft before or after installation. Leaving the wood unoiled in exterior applications allows it to weather naturally, according to the local climate.
