This Detroit multifamily home is part design studio, part neighborhood gathering spot.
Wrapped in @nakamotoforestry’s yakisugi charred wood siding on the outside with the structural insulated strand board panels left exposed “like wallpaper” on the inside, the 2,300-square-foot project is a testament to architect @chyduk_arch’s belief: “One way to mitigate the cost of building is to remove layers—to make the structure be the beauty of the space.”
