Hinoki Unoiled

Furniture, Interior

Hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) is an aromatic and rot-resistant lumber species native to central and southern Japan. The wood's straight grain, light color, and luxe planed sheen make it an ideal aesthetic material for wall, floor, and ceiling surfaces. Can be substituted for Port Orford Cedar in most specifications. Hinoki's aesthetic beauty and resiliency make it an excellent choice for both interior and exterior applications, with or without a finish applied.

Suyaki

DIY: Blemish Touch-Up

Our Yakisugi Shou Sugi Ban siding ages beautifully with minimal upkeep. It naturally develops a rich patina or can be re-oiled anytime to restore its original vibrancy. Suyaki stays black for decades, with re-oiling extending its deep color even longer.

Accessories

Our Yakisugi accessories ensure a seamless installation and lasting durability. Available as a service to customers, they require a lumber purchase but are sold separately.
