Read about this plus sign-shaped residence—designed by @howeleryoonarchitecture and clad in @nakamotoforestry’s yakisugi—on @dwellmagazine today.
Located in Central Indiana, the home is oriented around light, views, and landscape. Each end of the cruciform plan frames a panoramic view of the landscape, like an inhabitable telescope.
Clad in Nakamoto Forestry’s authentic yakisugi siding, the home’s exterior amplifies the drama of the form. Suyaki® Tung Oil Black, Gendai® Alkyd Light Gray, and Gendai® Alkyd Black create a layered palette of charred textures, lending both durability and striking contrast across the seasons.
