Shadybrook Project

This reimagined ranch-style home (designed and developed by Samaha Studio) seamlessly blends contemporary and rustic influences.

Materials were chosen with intention, favoring a nature that ages gracefully over time. This includes Suyaki® Tung Oil Black yakisugi “shou sugi ban” siding on the exterior, which provides durability and fire resistance while creating a striking visual contrast. Unlacquered brass and handmade Moroccan tiles add texture and warmth. Raising the ceilings created an open and more welcoming interior, while additions like a custom fireplace and farmhouse kitchen added both style and practicality.
