The Two.Fold House, a modern Nordic-inspired home situated on a five-acre wooded site in Minnetrista, Minnesota, was featured in Architectural Record. The home is clad in our Suyaki® Tung Oil Black yakisugi and is comprised of two elongated gable-roofed structures that respond to the site’s natural slope and surrounding woodland and marsh views.
Our stain-grade wood naturally ages with character, with or without a finish. Nakamoto Forestry offers specialized Shou Sugi Ban finishes, from deep blacks to warm, exposed grain tones, ensuring lasting beauty with minimal maintenance.
