The Milo House, set on a vibrant countryside of orchards and woods in Cornwall, VT with views of the Adirondack Mountains, was featured in Dezeen Magazine. The home is composed of irregular, offset forms that were designed to “dissolve into the forest”, according to designers Elizabeth Herrmann Architecture + Design, a Vermont-based studio.
The team used the Gendai® Alkyd Brown variation, which is brushed once after the burning process to soften the soot and reveal the wood’s natural grain below the carbonised surface.
